Revenge is not karma

Revenge is not karma. Karma is not revenge. If people stopped acting out revenge then wars would stop. Revenge is a fuel for war. Not the only one though. If someone wronged you, and you feel the need to do something about it, by wronging them in return, to fight fire with fire, well two wrongs don't make a right. It makes everyone wrong. EVERYONE. So stop with the revenge. Stop with the getting back at those who have hurt you. Because back down their path someone wronged them too. Because hurt people hurt people. I'm not justifying the wrongdoing. I'm not accepting the wrongdoing. I'm just asking you to step up and be the bigger person and break the chain. You can't control other people's behavior, well maybe you might be able to a little. But you are responsible for your own actions. You can break the chain of violence and abuse by refusing to take revenge. By just walking away. This is not the cowardly thing to do. It takes great effort to restrain the anger and restrain the reaction to want to retaliate and 'fix' the problem. The problem is revenge. The problem is violating other people's human rights. Regardless of if you think they deserve it or not. They don't deserve your violence. And they don't deserve your kindness. So walk away and give them neither. Walk away and give them nothing.
